We are so grateful to Fleetwood of Dilate Studios for presenting us with this amazing opportunity: working with the makers of Hello Kitty! Sanrio is all about super cute and super fun, which makes us super excited.

For this project, Sanrio needed a stop motion video to help them present a new line of plushie toys, Pyoconoru (P-o-con-o-ru). We built a colorful and quirky kid’s shelf, which provided a playful setting to introduce each of the plushie characters and their unique personalities.

Almost everything in the scene was handmade and built by our team. We had a lot of fun putting our crafting skills to use — sawing, sanding, cutting, sewing, gluing, and painting — to create a scene and props worthy of these super cute characters. Huge thanks to Ray Chang for building the awesome airplane, train and see saw, and to Natalie Einterz for creating the clouds, mushrooms, trees, and bushes. You both rock!

We had a tight timeline, but we were able to put the whole piece together just in time for it to debut at the 2017 San Diego Comic Con! Whoo hoo!
